We have a healthy respect for the institutional applications which have been serving our State’s citizens for decades. However, the benefits of new technologies eventually outweigh the pain associated with migration and transformation, and we are here to help. These projects may or may not include new business functionality, but they always touch every part of an enterprise. Choose RFD for your Transformation project, and know that we will work with you to carefully and skillfully support current operations while moving into the future.

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
SOA is ultimately about composite applications that deliver measurable business value. Within Texas public sector organizations, composite applications typically involve new web services which integrate with web or client-server applications, and often with wrapped mainframe applications as well. Introducing SOA in your organization should start with a roadmap and a governance plan, and skilled guidance through the alignment of business and technical architectures and standards. RFD won’t try to move you from zero-to-sixty with a massive new infrastructure. Rather, our approach is to roll up our sleeves and help you plan – and execute – an SOA roadmap that will work.

Application Maintenance & Support
Whether the engagement is new development, enhancements, maintenance or on-going support, RFD has seen its system and application development methodologies evolve since its inception in 1986. As a result, we continue to apply ‘best practices’ combined with past experiences to define RFD’s application maintenance and support methodologies. This includes including troubleshooting, modifying, maintaining and enhancing legacy systems. RFD’s support includes application analysis and management for critical web applications.
